Hi, i try to make a log for River Bream in Yanxiem (ship sinks spot) but i failed, i make the road but he don’t gathered any fish, someone can make it or tell me how can i do it ?

Not sure if there is a centralized spot for spearfishing grids. This is a grid for lv.65 Teeming Waters in south Yanxia (22,35), collecting Common Whelk (levequest item) and Armored Crayfish, both level 63 catches.
Remember to have Fathom enabled and have Shark Eye and Gig on your hotbar, as well as the usual flying mount.

I’d like to request a simple feature:
Repair equipment after x gathering nodes (normal gathering nodes as well as spearfishing nodes). Same as with the crafting repair option, but for gathering instead. Would be great to have that 🙂
Yes, Veteran Trade by Name is scheduled for release in Stormblood Upgrade Stage 3.

This is a fairly optimized grid for spearfishing Ivory Sole (used in Persimmon Leaf Sushi)
-Attempted to minimize the amount of vertical movement since it is much slower than forward movement
-Only uses Shark Eye on one of six nodes
-Will navigate you to the nodes from The Ala Mhigan Quarter Aetheryte using a one-way beacon (easy Scenario integration)
To Use:
Equip Normal Gig head, Teleport to Ala Mhigan Quarter, start Gathering
Anyway to keep it spear fishing rather than it saying everything gathered ?
Looks like Spearfishing just got implemented! Has anyone tested this out?
There seems to be a slight issues with flying waypoints if you make a spear fishing grid and put a flying waypoint right next to a teaming waters node sometimes Miqo will go to the waypoint unmount then remount again then unmount and then gather the node. I suspect it has something to do with either the angle or the height its coming from as I”m not able to reproduce it all the time it just happens sometimes but it does make it look very bot like.
We couldn’t reproduce your issue in our labs, but we may have an idea of what is causing it.
Would you please give us an example of navigation grid that you have observed this behaviour with?
Hey Miqo, I know Stage 2 just came out and this is probably the last thing you want to hear but…Do we have any extremely rough timeline for Stage 3? From my understanding Stage 2 was very time consuming due to the research time for the crafting solver so I was just curious if you expected the next stage to be another couple months or if it may be a bit quicker.
Completely understand if you don’t want to give any timeline estimates though!

We are very sorry, but we will not be able to answer these kind of questions until it settles down.
This is my first attempt at mapping anything out, and a down and dirty one at that because I was under a time constraint. I have since learned of a possible better way to do it, but have yet had to to research how some things work. As it stands this will do straight spearfishing on the 6 nodes that supply False Scad. You just have to manually turn on Collectors Glove and let it buck. I’ve been running it for about 2 and a half hours now and have not encountered any problems. To explain the waypoints, I had an issue with shark eye finding a closer Teeming Waters on 2 of the nodes then the ones that I wanted. With my limited knowledge on how waypoints and beacons work the quickest fix for me was to set a central waypoint and a scenario to bring you there between every node to ensure the wrong nodes were not being selected. I hope to have time tonight or tomorrow to fine tune this and make it prettier and more streamline, but for now I figured someone might get some use out of it.

I’ve been trying the crafting solver on a few different things but I keep finding it using Specialty: Reflect (Raise inner quiet by 3) when I am already at 11 stacks. Is this a bug where it should be using it first or just a quirk of the solver?
We would require more information to analyze your issue.
Please check option “Enable logs” next time you are crafting. This will create two files: miqo_crafting.log and miqo_crafting_solver.log. After you reproduce this issue again, please show us the logs of a problematic synthesis.
So what cross class abilities are we using now, and do we have to have them all on hotbar or it finds it for us? thanks
I would also like to know necessary moves to use now on the hot bar for the solver.I dont need a full blow guide.

Collectables for spearfishing are already supported. You just have to enable “Collect” buff manually. A setting on UI will be added later, but it is not required for Aethersand farming.
Also, please note that you can use Scenario Engine for automated Aetherial Reduction. Use gather() function to start spearfishing and aetherialReduct() function to purify collected fish.

Is there a function for the scenario engine where I can tell Miqobot to gathering certain grid for a set amount of time or until a certain time then move on to the next chapter / command line?

They are processed slightly different by the game.
Unlike normal gathering nodes, they are not fully preloaded. Their names are not evaluated until you change to fisher of required level to see them.
The memory allocation module, however, must put them somewhere beforehand – in order to reduce loading time later. Usually it puts them in the same space where previously unloaded objects resided. So whatever names were in that memory will now be attached to invisible spearfishing nodes. In fact, if you teleport to a few more locations and come back, you will trigger memory reallocation and see something else instead.
But as soon as you change to fisher, visible nodes will finish their loading and you will see correct names on 3D Radar.
Spearfishing
This activity is very similar to gathering but with a different nodes behaviour.
Just like in normal gathering, Miqobot will navigate between teeming waters, interact with them, and use Gig at exactly the right moment.
All you have to do is provide a navigation grid and put the required skills on your hotbar. And Miqobot will do the rest.
Spearfishing AI uses the same concept of senses as Gathering AI. As they appear in Miqobot settings:
- “Use Compass” refers to Shark Eye.
- “Use Compass II” refers to Shark Eye II.
- “Use Truth” refers to Truth of Oceans.
There will be no rotations in Spearfishing.
However, Miqobot will be able to utilize some Spearfishing actions to affect the catch.
– Veteran Trade may be used with reference to undesired fish names.
– Calm Waters, Bountiful Catch, and Nature’s Bounty may be used after Veteran Trade on the same node, in order to improve yield or size of preferable fish.
– (Spearfishing abilities support is scheduled for release in Upgrade Stage 3.)
In addition, special scenario functions will allow you to change gig heads and switch presets on the fly.
