I used Aquabot before and noticed it has the option to select a time window and weather in the interface. I attached an image of the interface. Just figured a few people might appreciate that, rather than a simple selection of minutes to keep fishing. It lets you go to a location and fish without having to start when the fish window opens.
Would any kind soul be willing to put together whatever is needed to run loops for the ET day doing fishing for Aethersands?
I think the fish at level 60 would be Pteranodon, Caiman, Thaliak Caiman, Dravanian Bass, Manasail and Tupuxuara. Anything that makes it through the 24 hours and repeats, with reduction and desynth included for inventory management would be amazing.
Thanks for your time!
I was hoping someone could assist me. I previously had several presets for most of the tabs available. Like levelling for fishing for example. They are now not showing.
help! 🙂
thanks,
Ive been playing with Miqo for a long time and honestly cant name a single feature that wasnt useful. Gathering and crafting systems are superb and creating your own navigation grids is a lot of fun. MGP grinding features gave me everything i wanted from Gold Saucer. Leveling with Squadron Dungeons saved so much time that ive almost managed to catch up with the rest of my life and even play other games. Have you tried flying a plane in San Andreas? God the physics in that game is pure bliss. The atmosphere of Soma, the epicness of NieR, the charm of Ori, the awe of Witness. I would never know those things were it not for Miqo giving me so much time and space.
And while doing all the boring stuff she somehow managed to bring new gameplay to my FFXIV experience. Legendary Fishing became so exciting that i even skipped a whole raid tier. Learning weather conditions, calculating fish windows, and then designing a scenario for Miqo to activate at precise moment and execute the correct bait sequence is incredibly fun. And when you wake up in the morning to find a shiny legend in your inventory its the most rewarding feeling ever.
When Miqo finished all my jobs to 70 and geared them in Rakshasa i was kinda lost at first. I tried playing those jobs but it felt really weird. I looked at theorycrafting diagrams and couldnt understand them. Almost every guide was talking about deep optimization techniques with just a few tiny bits on basics.
But then Combat Assist came along and it changed everything. I launched Miqo on a striking dummy and suddenly it all started to make sense. Watching the rotation in practice for one hour taught me a lot more than several days of reading diagrams and guides. And even the fact that Assist Mode is not complete yet wasnt a problem. As i grasped the basics figuring out the rest of 60-70 skills was very easy. Now i can literally take any job and pull out top performance in any raid instance with my bare hands. Finally after several years of onetricking i can choose what to play and even help my friends to learn. Assist Mode brought my game to a whole new level. Now im skilled enough to play without it but i still like to launch Miqo from time to time and simply enjoy the fight without my eyes glued to the hotbar.
I’m not sure it it works, but I’d rather see a voting pool rather than simple thread (not sure if forum engine supports it, though). I.e. I’d like to know how many Miqo users use it [mostly] for gathering, how many for grinding mobs, how many for fishing, for crafting, for squadrons, for gaining advantage in dungeons, etc, etc, whatever Miqo can do. This way it could be easier to realize what does majority of people actually demand. Not that I believe in democracy within a commercial project but… worth a try?

There is a point of worry that miqo wont be in shape just yet when the expansion comes. The new media tour reveals has shown that the combat jobs have all had changes, one way or another, which means tweaking even the sub-60 systems like low level squadrons and assists. And that’s not even covering crafting/gathering changes, which have not been revealed yet.
I feeel like if there’s a priority in that the crafter/gatherer systems should be updated first exactly as they work pre-71 levels, followed by gold saucer, fishing, etc., basically anything non combat related. This is especially important for those of us who want a bit more exp to feed into the next levels of crafting/gathering, even if exp might be nerfed. Every little bit counts!
It is understandable then to leave the combat things for later, or if there’s a queue system for updates it should be second-rate. This allows those who dont need to do MSQ to just leave miqo to farm or craft low level stuff for noob dancers/gunbreakers along with any other low level noobs who come in for the expansion.
sorry for basically hijacking the topic and going on a ramble, just wanted to get my thoughts across.
Fishing tab > collect > set number. Its a minimum collectability value. Set it to 0 if you want to collect everything.
Good day,
I have an issue where fishing with collect on causes Miqo to actually choose “No” instead of “Yes” on the collecting prompt.
I figured I have a setting wrong but I’m unable to see what exactly, or if it’s actually that or some strange issue I’m having.
If you do that you will most likely get ‘the fish sense something amiss’ at 1am. The timer keeps ticking while youre not fishing and its super annoying. Just start fishing for crickets 1-2 minutes before the window. Their catch rate is high enough to proc the buff in time.
Id suggest making a new post next time. I almost missed your question because it was hidden.
I have a question about fishing and I don’t want to make a new post about it since this is still fresh so I’ll tack on my question here.
I want to catch the Armor Fish and was wondering if there is a way to catch a number of fish, pause for a bit and then continue?
My idea is that I could go to the fishing spot 20-30 minutes before the fish spawn, tell miqobot to catch 5 Hedgemole Crickets, then wait until 1am ET. Then continue fishing, catching the last Hedgemole Cricket to proc intuition and hopefully have a better chance of getting it. is there a command like
catchfish (Hedgemole Cricket, 5)
afkuntil 1:00ET
Can that be done?

i was wondering if it’s possible to have a timer restriction for fishing?
some fishing holes in the game have multiple small tug fishes but each of them only bite at specific intervals, like x can only bite if it’s a small tug + 10-14s into the cast. this feature would help a lot for trying to fish stuff such as the vegetarian because there are multiple small tugs and you can only mooch off 1 specific small tug.
So how does this work for fish like Namitaro? Because it can only be triggered by catching a Giant Takitaro (which can only be caught via Glowworm bait) but then Miqo would have to know to switch over to Topwater Frog bait *after* catching a Giant Takitaro, which so far as I can tell there’s nothing like that in the chapter. It just has Miqo go and start fishing with the Frog if the weather is right, which will do nothing if you’re trying to catch Namitaro. Am I just not reading the scenario correctly?
hello i was wondering if there is a tutorial to make custom fishing scenarios to catch the deep water fish(rare fishes?)
say i wanted to make one to catch Little Perykos
this needs lugworm bait to catch merlthor goby then mooch to get wahoo and mooch that to get little perykos
i wanna know how to go about making a scenario for this sequence:
lugworm – merlthor goby(prec) – mooch – wahoo(powerful) – mooch – little perykos
I understand youre disappointed that you cant make a lot of money of it. But this was never the plan.
I hope you don’t speak for Miqo team. There is always the same “plan” for every commercial programming project (Miqobot included): to earn as much rl money as possible.
Yeah its very clear Miqo’s target audience isnt RMTs. Not sure why that’s such a hard concept to grasp.
Because of a goddamn simple reason: I’ve spent a MONTH rl seeking for a decent bot designed for RMT. I’ve checked lots of games (L2, WoW, EVE, OSRS, GW2, TESO, BDO, Tera, LoTRO, AA, Karos, PW, Aion, Warframe, NWN, PoE and so on – I just don’t recall everything atm), and there always the same pattern: either game currency is not worth anything, or there is no decent bot to farm it (crappy fishing bots which make 10 cents per hour are not considered “decent”). Now, in case Miqo won’t suit either, then I don’t know how the heck ppl find bots to earn money nowadays…
Oh, and besides: don’t worry, it does not matter how many players do RMT – it won’t affect “legit” botters anyway. Either bot is discoverable, and then GMs ban you in either case (RMT or no), like it was 22.05.2008, when Blizzard ONCE found a way to discover Glider and banned lots and LOTS of accounts in a blink, including my raid account, which never traded gold for real… or it’s impossible to find out if account is botting or played manually, and then you are safe.
