    Presets should be changed based on what you’re fishing for. Fishing weather is under the scenario functions.

    Just wondering what you all are using for your preset settings?
    Any change during weather?

    Have a feeling im being super inefficient with this:

    * FULL UPDATE IN THIS POST *

    I had a scenario previously for this, I use a different fishing hole in the same zone to reset.

    However, the macro is working really good so thank you for that.

    I had the opinion that this worked aswell. However when I tested it in Il Mheg for Levinsand the fish suddenly went “Suspicious”, although it worked before for multiple hours. And maybe it was a bug, but I actually couldn’t fish anymore in Il Mheg. I needed to change the area first. After that it worked again.

    However I changed the Scenario a bit, so you reset the timer by just moving to another fishing hole for the bluecrab (you can change the ones you are going to yourself in Chapter 2 and 4, but let them be different ones). For that I also updated the grid.
    So you don’t need another grid and fishing Preset for the reset anymore, if this works over long periods of time (not tested).

    I reduced the macro I used to 10 seconds, as the fish you were getting, were probably from a double hook and you just release one of those fish then it seems. (see below for the updated macros).

    You also can uncomment the repair() in Chapter 1, if you plan to repeat it for a long time.

    I tested this for around an hour and it doesn’t show suspicious fish, but it might need longer to trigger it.

    Macros (as I already mentioned in the post above, you can remove the /echo line, if you want to):

    Hey SLYG just wanted to let you know real quick. I have been using this scenario with these presets for a couple of days now. I think they work pretty similarly to the OP which is great; however, you do run into the issue of it being set to the number of gather attempts and then just completely skipping a timed node. The mining portion also seems to hit some snags where it actually just sits there, that is fine though as I personally just remove that segment of the scenario.

    The last thing I am having problems with is the Diadem Boom segments of the scenario. I am going to try and rewrite them, but it appears that they do not work. All they do is fly back and forth between waypoints a few times (looks very very suspicious as it is in the same line). For now I am removing those as well.

    I will say that when it did gather it did a great job! Although it kill switched itself 2 hours in. Is there a way to loop it like the infinite mining one does? I assume its just copy and paste the part of the scenario that does, but figured I would make sure that would not create a conflict first.

    You will always trigger the kill switch if you run this scenario continuously for over 180 minutes. The game will automatically kick you out of the duty after your time limit expires.

    I’m not sure why diademBoom isn’t working for you. Please check that you are using the latest version. Delete everything from the prior version before updating to the new version. The waypoint numbers will shift if I make any additions or deletions to any of the waypoints numbers that come after, so that would throw the scenario off if you’re using a new scenario, but still using an old grid.

    I recently found out that the fishing islands has a lot of mobs, so I changed the diademBoom location to go there. There’s 5 mobs at the new location, so no need to hop between different points.

    Worked perfectly, just a question. If I were to tweak it in order to account for the weather nodes, How would I go about it? Any tips?

    Otherwise, thanks for the great job!

    I’m not sure how I would do this. I looked at the weather functions, but they seem to be only related to fishing. Do you know of any examples of this being used for gathering in other scenarios? This would be a nice suggestion to be able to tag waypoints to specific weather conditions.

    That second version worked very well for me, a single run (2 hours) netted me ~200 blue crabs (with about 17% HQ) and only 4 other fish.

    But, is there a specific reason you chose Fallgourd Float as the reset location, that cost me 999gil*2 per reset, so almost 8000gil.
    Why not use a destination in Norvrandt?

    I actually didn’t put much thought into it, because I have another reset location, which is the Company Building in Lavenderbeds (costs just around 250 and have fishing spot really close). But I cannot guarantee that everyone got a flat in lavenderbeds. So I needed to quickly think about a location, which has a fishing spot near it’s aetheryte and this is the one I found first. I don’t think any port in Norvrandt got a fishing spot that close to the port point.

    However, I might change it later, when I have time for it.

    Also: Did you hooked a fish on the resetting fish hole? And if not, I assume the resetting works as intended, without catching a fish?

    I am so bad and new at fishing it hurts, so this might again be a dumb question. As it stands i downloaded the lower szenario of the two, deleted the fishing presets and added the latest preset with the timing. i got both versatile lure and the squid thingies. I am clicking on the szenario and i see him using your macro. But for around 50 casts in a row now , he returns the line before anything bites. i think one fish bit in the entirety of the process and it wasnt a blue crab. Your macro states that he basically tries to hook after 11 seconds , which he does for me. But nothing EVER bites. :C

    Fishing scenarios are limited to what the fishing settings are capable of, which is fairly limited when it comes to extremely high end fishing routines like slapping, dropping hooks, and hooking based off timers.

    What you can do though, is set up a basic Patience + Mooch routine for windswept island.

    I added a possibility to use timing in this fishing scenario. Or lets say, anyone using it needs to do it. I’ve changed the fishing preset to use double hook and not chum anymore, so you need to delete the old fishing preset. However with the following macro, you almost exclusively catch bluecrabs, so you don’t waste bait and time catching other fish.

    So replace your cast skill with this macro during this scenario (you can remove the /echo line if you want to):

    This will increase the crabs you will get by a lot. I am speaking of like 400-500% or even higher percentage more, plus you don’t waste bait on other fish.

    Edit: I am not sure if this breaks the reset chapter though. As if you don’t fish anything, I am not sure if it gets reset. If it doesn’t, I might need to add some non artifical bait, so you get a hook in the first 10 seconds.

    The old fishing one works just fine. But you’re better off adjusting based on the weather.

    Edit: Not relevant anymore.

    So I was working on a base grid I want to use for every future grid I will do for the diadem (Phase 3). Be it a miner or botanist or fishing one etc. I will remove unneeded grid points via script, once I have finished the grid for a particular purpose (so it wont have any dead and unused points and wont lag miqo).
    However, I need some feedback on the connection between the islands first. For me they are working really well. However that doesn’t have to be the case for other people and maybe different internet connections (maybe lag is doing something weird to the storm ports etc.)

    So I created a little Scenario for testing purposes and would like to ask, if some people could test it to see if it’s working for them.

    How to test:

    1. Import the Scenario + Grid from the file
    2. Choose the grid "NG-Diadem_P3" in navigation tab, by clicking on it
    3. Choose a Chapter, each Chapter is one connection being tested
    4. Go to the first mentioned Island in the description box (S = South, SW = South West, ..., Base = Entry Island, Thunder = Thunder Element Island)
    5. Go to the wind storm which is the connection from the first mentioned to the second mentioned Island
    6. Start the Chapter, use "next" when it's afking to go again
    7. Do 6 a few times for each connection (Chapter)

    For example:

    Chapter 2 (SW – S):

    - Go to the south west (SW) island (the one where the umbral wind node is)
    - Go to the windstorm which connects to the South (S) Island and land in front of it.
    - Hit "start"
