Trying to get the big fish, the ones with the large tug and I’m using patience 2 but I swear the bot isn’t using powerfulhookset even though its selected. Can someone help me out or explain please.

So, I’ve been using the last two steps here to finish my relic, but I made some adjustments to the fishing presets that should be a speed improvement. I haven’t used the previous ones so I can’t speak on those. It’s possible that those could benefit from similar adjustments.

First, I turned off the Mooch and Mooch 2 settings that were there since are unnecessary for catching the correct fish. Mooching just guarantees you spend a catch not getting what you want here. None of the relic steps require mooching so if those are turned on for the other steps, you could turn them off to save more time.

Second, I set it to ignore tugs that don’t correlate to the collectible fish we’re trying to get. This saves GP by only catching on the Medium tug for Flintstrike and Small tug for Pickled Pom. It will still be a random chance between the fish you want and one other fish, but it cuts down on catching other random stuff and saves more GP for Patience buffs.

Third, I adjusted the keep collectability downward to be the lowest minimum acceptable. This catching is slow enough that since im already checking on it every 30-40 mins, my inventory isn’t really in danger of filling up. Personally, this grind is slow enough that I don’t feel like I can be picky here, so I’ll take anything I can get. If you only want to keep the second tier of turn-in though, you can just adjust Flintstrike back to 296 and Pickled Pom back to 147 for collectability.

Is there a fishing 1-80 scenario? what is the best way to level fishing from the start?(My alt also has the road to 70 double xp bonus too)

hey, thanks for the this! question, how viable would this be for just farming points, i have all the rare fish and was looking for something to just go in and work on the 3 million point achievement, would you recommend just running the ocean fishing profile then swapping to spec when a spec pops? thanks in advance!

The message i’d get in game is “Unable to execute command while occupied.” Looks like its trying to do the next reduction before the current one is finished and that seems to be what is setting off the error.

It looks like it does about 5 real reductions and attemps 5 more causing an error while its in the middle of a reduction. This happens in the middle of the reduction animation of the current reduction it has in progress.

Hello all, here are the scenarios to get you all the way to the final Fishing relic.(apart from having to buy the starter relic for the first step)
These are rough but get the job done, It does self repair so make sure you got your crafters leveled, otherwise feel free to adjust/edit the scenarios to your liking.
In order they should go:
Skysteel +1
Dragonsung
Augmented Dragonsung
Skysung
Skybuilder’s

I’m going to have to comment on this post with the last 2 scenarios since this one was limited to 4.

Remember these

Stock up on Signature skyball and Cordial

Have Repair, Teleport, Mount, and all the other abilities the FSH class has on your hotbars

Make sure to have your relic equipped before starting each scenario

Keep an eye on it every 30-40 minutes

Keep an eye on it so you wont overfish and go past the required amount needed

Hello all, ive made 2 rough scenarios for fishing up the mats needed for the last relic step for the skybuilders fishing rod.
1 for Flintstrike and the other for Pickled Pom.
Be sure to stock up on Cordials and Signature Skyball.
Make sure to have repair, mount, cordial, and teleport on your hot bars as well as all the fishermans abilities and skills.
Feel free to change the settings to your liking.

Ocean Fishing to my understanding gives more EXP then Diadem does if you do it the same amount of time. With that being said, Ocean fishing is only available once every 2 hours and lasts about 20 minutes or so. It would be fairly easy to do Diadem for the hour and a half in between each ocean fishing event. However I do not know if this grid will work for fishing classes that are below level 80. Also if you are asking which is better for getting Gil? Diadem 100% is better as there is little to no gold from Ocean fishing.

I’ve been doing all of those things with my scenario. The problem is specifically with ocean fishing. Intuition bait changes based on weather. So if you have the intuition bait for Spectral Weather equipped during normal weather, you won’t catch anything at all, and if you have it set to the normal intuition bait during spectral weather you’ll only catch the normal bait.

Give workfor() a shot.

Stop next activity after amount of time.
Both real and Eorzea time is supported.

Format is HH:MM[:SS].
For Eorzea time add “ET” at the end.

HH – hours
MM – minutes
SS – seconds (can be omitted)

Each activity will finish the ongoing action before stop.
Fishing will hook the current fish, gathering will dig the current node, crafting will synthesize the current item, and so on.

Note: Timer starts immediately when function is called. When chapter ends, timer is disabled.

I saw a couple of requests for ocean fishing presets. This one is sort of manual in that you have to choose which chapter you want to run based on the Zone and the Day. (I’d gladly update the functionality if there is a way to call a chapter based on zone and time with Miqo?)

The other issue it has is that it doesn’t have the ability to change to two different types of intuition buffs. While ocean fishing (to truly get the rarest fish) you need a different bait for intuition during normal fishing and yet another bait for intuition under spectral weather.

I’ve been troubleshooting it for a little while now and it seems to work well enough. Came in second place twice, and 3rd the next time. Let me know if you find errors and I’ll try to update it. You do need plump worm, krill, and ragworm for baits.

I personally only use it if I’m in the room. Fishing while reading a book or watching tv, etc. So far I’ve never had any problems with it or even had anyone say anything to me.
