I finally have a few days off, I’m hoping to catch up on some of the grids that haven’t been done yet. Wish me luck.

I can not compare Miqobot to what you’re using now since I don’t know what you’re using. There is one thing to consider and that’s ‘injections’. If you’re current bot has the ability to do teleport hacking, speed hacking or any other type of botting that requires injections, then there’s the safety of the bot to consider. $10 a month might be worth it to reduce the risk of getting your account banned. If banned then that’s a whole new license for FFXIV that you would have to purchase not to mention starting all over again.

That’s not to say that miqo is 100% full proof. If you’re spotted by a player and they think you’re botting, they can always report you. But if your current bot is using only keyboard commands like Miqo does, and you’re botting responsibility then my entire point is moot, but it’s worth looking into.

As to the ETA you’re asking about, I don’t know since I’m just a subscriber and not a developer.

I almost forgot… If your bot does do injections, even if you’re not using that part of the bot, it’s likely it’s still doing it thus increasing the chances of getting caught.

Even low level materials are still useful. You can get HQ items, experience points, and it’s great practice for making grids! 🙂

    Some tips to consider.
Make sure every hot bar has a hotkey assigned to it. (Such as CONTRL-ALT-SHIFT-1 through -. You won’t be using them so making it complicated reduces any risk of you accidentally doing it while getting smashed in the head by a goblin.)

Make sure there’s a hotkey for switching hotbars such as CONTROL ] and CONTROL [ (what i use)
Make sure every ability in the crafter’s skill is is on a bar
Example: The first ability I put in the first button bar slot and so on. When I run out of room on that bar I start on the next bar.
Make sure every bar you have abilities on are showing on your HUD (not required but fun to watch)
Make sure cross class abilities are all listed on a hot bar (I usually put them in right after the other abilities)
Make sure specialization abilities are also listed (for future)

I do this for all my crafters making sure I have the right cross over skills selected for each one. Having done all these steps, Miqobot has NEVER had any problems solving any craft I throw at her.

So, you want to not gather up all of the same item just a few of this and a few of that, and maybe even one of those all in one session?

If that’s the case, I’m not sure there’s a way to do that as of yet. @miqobot any thoughts on this?

As Kamineko86 stated, using either Precision or Powerful (or both) will activate the first tier of patience. The only way it will use patience 2 is if you specifically select it. As a side note, should you choose BOTH precision and Powerful hooksets, Miqobot is smart enough to know when to use each one so she won’t user powerful on a tiny fish and visa versa. It’s pretty smart.

If you do not select either power or precision, she will not use patience one or two.

    Happy fishing.

When you use ‘Gather By Name” you can use exact or partial matches. You won’t need a slot number at all when doing this. Example:

    [Dragonskin Treasure Map]
    [Some Rare Item Name]
    Crystal
    Shard

Notice the first two have brackets around them, those are exact matches. So if miqo sees that map and no other type of maps, it will take it first, then it will see if whatever ‘rare item’ I’m trying to get is there, if not then it’ll check for crystals, if none, then shards, if there’s nothing on the list then it just stands there confused. So it’s always good to have what you want in there when gathering.

In your case you can do this:

    carbon
    shard

and she will find anything with the name carbon in it and grab it, then move to the next node.

    Hope this helps.

When scenarios come out, I believe you’ll be able to create one to accept that one leve in sea of clouds rinse and repeat. Personally I just accept the fate (can’t remember what it’s called but you go to the different spots and things spawn on you) then initiate, fly around looking for a chest, pop chest then abandon it, re-try… over and over.

I’m rather excited about the upcoming versions. I already enjoy this bot so much as it is now, I can’t fathom how much more amazing it will be!

Upper La Noscea > Aleport > Oakwood
Fire Rock, Water Rock, Lightning Rock, Earth Shard
    Max Branch 25

Low Level Warning, FATEs all over the place here. Nothing will aggro except in fate.

There’s a rock at mount point 4 that she gets stuck on, but miqobot is very smart and will jump.

    South Shroud > Quarrymill
Silver Sand, Earth Rock, Ice Rock, Wind Rock, Ice Shard
    Max Branch 25

Low Level Warning: Aggro & Fates in this area. You might consider changing the mount points to stealth if you get aggro.

This one was fun to make, so many things in the way… If you have any problems with it and need it tweaked just let me know which waypoint number and what it’s doing wrong.

@miqobot stated that they are working on something like that if I remember correctly, but it won’t be out until probably when scenarios are released (maybe shortly after)

@mithralover is correct. That will be a scenario thing. For now you can use the fishing bot to gather Illuminati Perch if you have a fisher high enough.

May as well throw in seals per hour, gil per hour, exp per hour as well, might be useful with the combat portion of the bot when it comes out.
