Its a false positive. Always happened always will. Just whitelist and move on.
And btw it was already asked yesterday: https://miqobot.com/forum/forums/topic/virustrojan-win32wacatac-bml/
Hey!
My windows did an update during night and this morning I noticed miqobot was removed by windows defender.
When I try to instal it again (from here, not any shady website) windows recodnises it as a virus and when I check the details and make an exeption for it, it litellary says it’s a troijan.
wtf is going on?
Edit: added a pic as proof, seems forum does not show pictures so it’s just a file.

I am not pointing fingers here as i know some programs such as this can get a false positive, but it should be noted that this is picked up as a virus and is very annoying when used with Windows Defender.

Miqobot saves your settings and presets in these files:
- settings.miqo
- presets.miqo
- catnip.license
They are generated when you first start Miqobot and are automatically updated when you close Miqobot.
Do you see these files being created and updated next to your Miqobot application?
If not, then something is blocking her from saving your settings.
Please try the following solutions:
- Try running Miqobot as Administrator.
- Try moving Miqobot to a different folder.
- Make sure that Miqobot has full write access to the folder she resides in.
- Make sure that your antivirus and firewall do not interfere with Miqobot.

There has been no changes to Miqobot application recently, so this issue is most likely caused by external interference.
Some antiviruses may get anxious about overlay rendering applications, such as Miqobot’s 3D Radar, and decrease the overall performance by constantly scanning it.
One of the things you can try is to disable 3D Radar.
Here is the list of settings that must be disabled in order to deactivate 3D Radar overlay completely:
- 3D Radar tab -> Show -> Nothing.
- 3D Radar tab -> Show FATEs -> List / World.
- 3D Radar tab -> Show Gathering -> Out of reach.
- Navigation tab -> Show on radar.
- Gold Saucer tab -> Racing -> Show -> Rails / Mid-rail / Progress / Waypoints.
- Combat tab -> 3D Radar -> Show arena.
- Combat tab -> Assist -> Pause -> Show pause status.
You can verify that 3D Radar is deactivated by looking at the top left corner of the game.
- If you see a transparent box, it means 3D Radar application is rendering the overlay window.
- If the top left corner is empty, it means 3D Radar application is deactivated.

Is there a way to make Miqobot actually retain my catnip license/the values I input previously? (yes, I click the save checkbox)

I noticed the first time I loaded Miqo I had a lot of default presets, now I do not. Is this intentional?

Don’t have any antivirus running… ;/
AiKeymaster
Maybe your antivirus kills it? It sometimes can happen after new version is released.
We are trying to minimize the amount of new versions, because every new executable requires several days to prepare, build, and perform the testing, and creates additional problems with antiviruses for the community.
That’s cause your antivirus would delete/put in quarantee the files it don’t like so when you overwrite them before it scans them again, it works.
Nah.. I’m sure any anti-virus software may not detect the original game launcher as virus.
because when I overwirite the files with a fresh copy from my wife’s computer, it will work properly.
It’s your antivirus program. Whitelist the application you are using with the game.
I had a lot of issue when I installed antivirus on my pc with QL for example.
