I second this, I can spiritbond to 100% everyday and having to meld and retrieve 2 materia for 8 pieces of gear gets a bit tedious, although given the slight complexity involved (what gear and which tier 1 and how many to slot) I’m not sure if it will go into scenario engine well

It’s overthinking the market I believe. It would make you attempt silly short term things just to get a little gain out of it
I am glad we have managed to have a very productive discussion on this topic
I must admit when I wrote this suggestion I had not fully considered the impact of implementing such a feature, I am convinced that a tragedy of the commons scenario is the most likely outcome if it is incorporated into miqo, to be fair I do have quite a lot of listed items on quite a lot of retainers, which does make it very tedious in lowering each item individually, but I do agree it will end up doing more harm than good no matter what good intention safety checks we add in
I find that this would be more useful in consumable mats that are in constant demand, if you are at the market’s lowest price and it’s still not being sold (despite say, undercutting by 1-5 gil every 5 minutes for a whole day) then that tool would not be useful in the first place
Most of my crafts are raid food and potions, they tend to sell out rather quickly, while I do agree even just one other user would immediate trigger a price war, you’d have to stop using miqo’s other functions and stand by a summoning bell
I had not considered the pov that this does more harm than good when “everyone” is using it, I suppose it is probably safer to not implement something than to retract it afterwards from a backlash
July 25, 2017 at 6:09 pm in reply to: [Crafting]: Place less weighting on Byregot finishers as HQ approaches 95% #4696With 1450 Craftsman and 1400 control, I’ve noticed no real difference between turning on Innovation/Manipulation and all the specialist skills whilst making 70* stuff, you really have to chalk it up to standard error and just trust Miqobot, because I presume the devs have crunched the numbers in matlab and by end game there isn’t much of a discernible difference between bad RNG (failed Flawless) and tangible bonuses from WWYW/etc
The solver is already optimised with a set rotation in mind, forcing it to use certain skills is basically making your cpu run Prime95 ;just to count the permutations of how many different ways you can slice an apple: this is pointless
