Miqo creates miqoradar.exe in your windows temp directory. If its not running then something deleted it. From what ive seen the problem is always an antivirus so try doing a double check. https://miqobot.com/forum/forums/topic/miqobot-flagged-as-trojan-virus/
Forum search on miqoradar shows more threads and theyre all antivirus related.
Sorry for the late response…. I’m actually not seeing the miqoradar.exe on my task manager when the bot is running. I’ve checked my antivirus, it’s not being blocked by that. I tried to change the draw method, no change, and I have the grid selected haha. Thanks for trying to help me!
Then something happened to your radar. Its hard to say without any screens so heres a few guesses. Do you see miqoradar.exe process in task manager? Is it consuming CPU? Do you have an antivirus that may block it? Try restarting Miqobot. Try advanced settings (the + button). There you can change draw method of 3d radar. Try switching between them. Oh and an obvious one – do you have a grid selected?
Windows defender is a source of many problems just like any other antivirus. https://miqobot.com/forum/forums/topic/miqobot-flagged-as-trojan-virus/
But yea sorry not an expert so no guarantee it will work. All i can say is i have no antivirus and havent seen any of those false positive bugs.
Imo having antivirus that behaves on its own is worse than having a virus. I would uninstall if i were you.
The last thing you can try is antivirus tech support. Its their problem so its unlikely you will find a solution here.
Check again and my antivirus reset on its own. So I turned it off and whitelisted Miqobot again and its still not working so idk. I only have the one thing that blocks anything and nobody else uses my computer so idk anymore.
Edit: Also worth mentioning that the ONLY preset that doesnt reset are pterodactyls and steel coins. Not that its useful, just annoying.

It was in my downloads folder first and desktop second and I’ve had my antivirus disabled entirely because whitelisting it didnt work.
Something is blocking Miqo from reading/writing files. Either you put it in a protected system folder or your antivirus is messing things up. Try a different folder or add Miqo to whitelist.
Well you said it yourself – virus detected. So the problem is that your antivirus or windows smartscreen or whatever doesnt allow you to download. Look here: https://miqobot.com/forum/forums/topic/miqobot-flagged-as-trojan-virus/
Also you can contact tech support they usually have more solutions: https://miqobot.com/#support
attempt to download / update new client on website and I receive message Failed – Download error
Checked anti virus and it isn’t blocking it and I still have out-dated version of Miqobot installed 1.2.65
Can anyone help please?
additionally I’ve never had an issue with downloading / updating this application before which is my I’m so confused..
Even turned off firewall and reset browser still get
Failed – Virus detected
Failed – Download error
either of these
It has already been answered. Look here.
The best answer is to ask this on bitdefender forums because its their problem. And if they cant help you then yes uninstall it.
False positive is a bug in antivirus. Honestly have no idea why bitdefender does it and its unlikely that anyone here knows. I can only guess but i would try whitelisting temp directory as well. Also try deleting the folder itself and let Miqo recreate it. Maybe your antivirus locked it on read-only.
Personally, I don’t even use an antivirus program. The vast majority (almost all) of malware is manually installed through being deceived or through ignorance, like spam clicking Next through a program’s installer that’s bundled with some not so nice toolbars and programs. And for browsing the internet safely, a simple adblocker like ublock origin should keep you from getting infected.
But as Lyfox pointed out above, not all antivirus programs are equal, and if your antivirus doesn’t do what its told to do, or is difficult to remove, it is usually regarded as a virus itself. Norton and McAfee are treated as viruses due to both of these traits, and if you install almost any other antivirus in existence, they will get rid of Norton or McAfee with extreme prejudice.
Personally, if you absolutely want or need an antivirus software, i would recommend either ESET smart security, or Kaspersky. They are both regarded as the best you can get.
Since its bitdefenders problem youll have better luck on their forums.
My personal advice – uninstall it. And get a smarter one. Installing an antivirus which doesnt do what you say is the same as installing a virus.
Hey ho
Now I do understand this is related to Bitdefender – but since it’s a fairly popular antivirus, I figured someone here might’ve encountered this issue before.
Today – and not previously – bitdefender is marking miqobot as malicious. When I give the program file an exception to scans, Bitdefender will then let me open it but once I change tab it will close miqobot then delete it aswell as miqoradar.exe, miqocraft.dll and miqodraw.dll before denying me access to the folder.
Only after restarting the computer is the restriction on my folder lifted but it will only do the same again.
Since miqobot isn’t liking it when being restored from quarantine, I *have* to download it again but then its a repeat of what happened before.
Any tips on how to handle this? I understand miqobot isn’t malware.w
Thanks
