You can’t do Trusts until 71 but they feel faster than fate grinding to me.It took me a couple of hours to fate grind my way from 70-71 with a Dancer last night vs 4-5 runs through Holminster to go from 71-72. OTOH grinding Fates is a good way to get your Fate rank up, especially while everyone is doing them and you can find a Fate group easily.
On the other hand once you finish the MSQ your trust is set back down to level 71 and you then have to grind them back up to 80 by doing the dungeons again. I haven’t bothered doing the math for the trust group but you may likely need to grind through Dohn Mheg several times just to level them back up and depending on time vs XP reward DM may turn out to be better than Holminster for that.
