Out on a Limb and Finer Miner are two mini-games that were introduced in patch 3.1. They seem to be the fastest MGP farming method at the moment, but they require some training first. The rules are pretty easy, but they have a very interesting mechanic called Double Down, which lets you increase your MGP gain by winning several times in a row.
Out on a Limb. Gives you a minute and 10 attempts to win. Time never resets, so you have to win as many times as possible within the allotted minute.
Finer Miner. Gives you a minute and only 6, 5, or 4 attempts (depending on difficulty). Time resets on retry, but the sweet range is significantly harder to find.
We carried out several experiments on how good a human player can perform. It seems to be possible to achieve a stable income of 350 MGP per minute (by taking out the fatigue factor of course).
We are still not sure whether Miqobot can achieve the same. At the moment we predict this method to gain ~200 MGP per minute on average. We’ll post more details when we get more data.
An important note! Miqobot’s performance in these Minigames will heavily depend on your ingame FPS, because it explicitly affects her aiming capabilities. We would recommend to have at least 60 FPS for Morbol and Titan difficulty.
We have implemented the basic AI for Minigames and carried out several experiments. The results give an average of ~250 MGP per minute, but this is only for Out on a Limb. Finer Miner seems impossible to solve within 4 or 5 attempts, and with 6 attempts the reward is very low.
We still think about implementing both Minigames and let Miqobot switch between them to look less like a bot. Of course, it will be made available as a setting for you to decide.
