If there is 3 points, 1 is on foot, the 2nd as mount, and 3rd as fly (and raised up along the Y axis), would Miqobot still remain on ground until it hits the Fly node or does it look ahead? If it doesn’t look ahead, I guess I would have to set the 2nd node to Fly.

It will mount at 1 start flying at 2 and rise along the line to 3. Theres an illustration in the guide:
