It’s always a pain when a patch drops and we have to wait, especially if there are a lot of changes. But I’ve been subscribing for a while and have found this program to be extremely easy to use, safe (if you aren’t dumb about it), and affordable. That’s not something you can say about any of the other products out there.
The team also pushed out a diagnostic patch for an problem with my particular setup and “run as administrator” within literally an hour and a half of me reporting it. In my job I pay thousands and thousands of dollars in support fees for programs that cannot turn around a fix that quickly – who cannot even respond to a problem that quickly.
Kudos to the entire team and don’t let people get you down.
February 21, 2020 at 10:03 pm #20140In general, I would have to imagine you’re getting these types of messages in private, because I think overall these forums are full of very patient, helpful people. I’m personally not seeing what you’re seeing. Yes, there are threads asking about potential features, but I don’t think these are being asked in a negative way. If that type of thing bothers you, the bluntest thing I can say is that you need to get over feeling bad about people asking. I can’t find one good example of people being rude about it, they just want to know.
Miqobot has increased my enjoyment of FFXIV a hundred fold, and I already loved it, it’s my second-longest played MMO over all the years I’ve played them since UO. The MB team should be confident and secure knowing that you have enhanced the gameplay of many, many people. Don’t worry so much about the pestering for new features. If people are being rude to you in private, you need to learn to ignore it mostly.
My personal opinion on the development speed is simply that 5.0 turned a lot of the game upside down, and because MB does not inject itself (thankfully) into the game, correcting and updating these features has overwhelmed the team a bit. You clearly had a roadmap for implementing new and updated features (like combat improvements) but Shadowbringers really threw a wrench in there.
I thought it was a miracle that it came back so quickly after 5.0, even though the main feature I originally bought it for (crafting) doesn’t work so well anymore. No worries there, crafting is 99% macroable now and you can have MB push those buttons.
Overall I would say that Miqobot is an amazing bargain for $10 a month. Keep your chins up and try to read these forums in a less negative light; people are always going to want more and better things, but I don’t think anyone’s publicly being rude about it. Keep doing what you’re doing, and thank you!
P.S. I thought at one point someone had been designated as a sort of forum liason so the development team could focus more on dev and less on the stress of answering the same thing over and over, if that person’s gone it might be worth the effort to find someone new.

February 21, 2020 at 11:37 pm #20144Just wanted to say i appreciate miqo and its dev team for all its done, I am a long time subscriber and just wanted to say thank you for all the hard work you have done, and I am disappointed in the community complaints since I do believe your team is working as hard as it can with each new patch. Keep your heads up, besides the complainers you also have great fans in the community, remember that!
February 21, 2020 at 11:37 pm #20145I only found Miqobot maybe just over a week ago and it’s probably the best thing I’ve found. It allows me to do a plethora of gathering all while I’m doing something else because I just don’t have the time.
I appreciate that the devs are taking their time to roll out a product that they are happy with that they know their customers will also be happy with. It’s more than what a lot of other people can say with what is going on in the world of development today.
And truly, if people are unhappy that this or that aren’t introduced yet, then you’re just being greedy. This sort of thing takes time so let them finish it whenever they finish it. These wise words have been spoken; “To Be Released… when it’s ready.”
Seriously, thank you Miqobot team for this thing because it’s great.
February 21, 2020 at 11:48 pm #20146I wont lie, I am low key impatient about the delay. But your program helped me so much with combat assist due to the fact I keep losing track of my mouse on my 2k screen, I lose either combo chain or end up dying/letting others die. So for the amount of service you guys are providing, I am happy to wait for your work to be updated.
I am using a different bot for the time being only for combat assist alone. But I’ll always be subscribed Miqobot for the fact that your program, in my opinion, is so far the best bot I have used for FFXIV. Not to mention cheaper and easier to use with far more options without having to manually install separate files myself. Save me whole a lot of migraine than I already have.
Keep up the good work and I hope to see the updated version soon.

I lurk a lot, and rarely contribute unless there is a need. I agree that people are generally asking questions out of a desire for progress or indication of progress and not necessarily negative, however, there is a thread that comes to mind that was active for the past couple days that was really aggressive (even if the OP of that thread asserts otherwise) towards the developers. I just wanted to point this out because Miqo’s post didn’t manifest out of nothing.
February 22, 2020 at 12:48 am #20151I’m assuming you’re talking about my post, and if so I will respectfully disagree.
I was assertive, not aggressive. I was critical, in what I deemed to be constructive manner.
I do however realise that that is subjective, and some could well have read aggression into my post.
It was just one post though.
If my post has led to this thread, and I’m really hoping it hasn’t, then that quite frankly is ridiculous.
This post can also be read in an aggressive tone, but I can assure you it is not being written in one. I’m sitting here with a cup of tea and a perplexed expression on my face.

February 22, 2020 at 12:57 am #20152I will be Frank. If addons to help fund are needed, then go ahead. I recently tried ffxivminion while I was waiting and for recovery, it made me realize why I like miqo better. Ffxiv minion, while it does seem to bot heal better, it has made the dumbest choices I’ve seen in assist mode. Like it would not raise someone and just leave them dead until swift cast would pop. There is also that it forces standard controls and will not use legacy. That made it harder for me to get out of shoes. My only real gripe with miqo is the look away aoes that I could prolly fix on my own by setting a pause button.
I understand you guys are a lot smaller and if you need to add paid modules, I have no issue.

NGL this is a “basic” strat of most healers. Hardcasting raise takes too long, and usually you have to interrupt the cast to either avoid mechanics or spot heal the tank. I myself wont usually raise unless swiftcast is up, and I know of quite many other healers that do the same.
I sorta agree with the addon support. If it’ll help them push stuff out sooner, all the better. Tho I am also quite happy with miqo as is.

Not going to lie, I kind of rolled my eyes when I saw your first post in this thread. After having read the topic you created the other day then reading your post here, I wondered if it was the same person because it had the same negative connotation attached to the whole tone of the post, and yep, it was. I don’t think your original topic or either of the posts you’ve made in here are overly aggressive, but I think you’re downplaying them just a tad too much. They aren’t overly aggressive, however nor are they simple “assertive”.
February 22, 2020 at 1:52 am #20157I feel like every post on this forum lately is NEW FEATURE WHEN??! so I can’t blame the Miqobot team for hearing that too.
I think a lot of us are just quietly happy with the bot as is so I hope the dev team remembers that.
Do people know they have the option to just, you know, play the video game? I yearn for the day I can spam Holminster to level my Trusts, but until then, there is plenty of other stuff to do.

I really don’t think the Miqo team have anything to worry about.
I’m not downplaying anything. The words I wrote are there for all to see. It was a critical post, hence it was negative.
I leveled a criticism at the messaging surrounding this product, and have since then been defending myself. I cannot believe the furor this seems to have generated.
Here’s another criticism for you Miqo. Companies normally make some sort of attempt to moderate their own forums and prevent the victimisation of their customers on them.
At no point, other than direct responses to posts, have I directly or personally insulted anybody, and I’ve also tried to be polite and civil while defending myself.
I’d dread to see what would happen in this forum if a genuine troll happened upon it. They’d have a field day.

February 22, 2020 at 2:07 am #20159February 22, 2020 at 2:28 am #20161I found Miqo around the end of Stormblood, when it had it’s Beta Combat implemented already, since then I used it pretty frequently, because of the variaton Miqo offers, compared to alternatives for the price.
But since Shadowbringers, Miqo has stalled a lot, while alternatives didn’t, due different kind of support (The Addon part, of “we all probably know what other Bot it is”), while Miqo simply goes by “We can’t give a ETA and still need to Fix X and Y because ShB destroyed it”, since then they updated Miqo very very slowly (and some features not at all), I still have active license thanks to the Black Friday Deal, but I see how I use Miqo less and less frequently.
They even had a Guy that wanted to do some Moderation (besides the Miqo main team?) that just .. vanished.
I like Miqo, I really do, but in it’s current state, it doesn’t really offer as much as I would love to (and many others probably), especially with all the changes SE did to the Game itself (Crafting got easier -> No real need for Miqosolver and just use Teamcraft for a Macro, etc etc).
