im contemplating using miqobot for some light mindless farming, ive been to depressed and tired to actually do anything in game.
but im also kinda worried ill catch a ban hammer

i read some general tips like dont afk farm and have sound notifications for messages.
but like overall for people who have been using this application what has been your experience with miqobot for the past 1-2 years?

any good/bad experiences or close calls? anything i should be worried about?
maybe some helpful tips and suggestions from vet users?.

If you’re farming for mats, just teleport to another dc and be nearby your monitor to make sure there isn’t anyone who’s standing around to watch your char but there’s a good chance there might be a fellow bot user farming that area too, I just leave that area and go find another spot to farm to make it less obvious. A close call would be if you have a friend who checks in on you to see where you’re at. An easy fix to that is just make an alt for farming mats purposes and leveling up on that alt from fresh isn’t really that hard to do since it’s all automatically done, you can farm starting from 20 with squadrons, and hop onto trust later lvling to 90 afterwards and be in the squadrons area, you can also save yourself the trouble and level up crafters to have the ability to repair your own gear as well. It does save a lot of headache if you make an alt for any kind of farming mat purposes but not let it run all day in 1 area of course. Been using the bot for 2 whole years and never had an issue, just common sense to not let it run all day in a public areas. Oh and as for tips: just if you’re planning to use it for your main character and lvling it up the classes, just go to another dc and into the squadron area to lvl up in peace, no one would bother you there. And make an alt to farm for mats in peace to avoid friends popping in unexpectedly on you. No one at all would message while I was farming for mats on other dc servers that isn’t busy

I have a FC guildmate who is always on, and they only have one lv 80 classes for DOW/DOM but a lot of 80 in DOH/DOL. (This was like last expansion timeframe)

One day, all I said in the FC chat was “Dang, I always see you lol, how are ya?”

Then they whisper me that they are doing great but they are mainly botting. He said that he have a disablitty and can’t play as much but would like to still be useful to the FC since he enjoy the social aspect of the game and love to design the FC house.

I just reply back to him saying that’s cool lol. In my mind, I want to stay as far away from him and this convo as much as possible because I bot like crazy and here he is talking about botting via whisper where it is being logged.

To this day, he is still not banned and our FC coffer is almost at half a billion, and it is all thanks to him.

I’ve been a user for over a year now, and I personally cannot enjoy the game without miqo. FFXIV has a lot of mundane tasks that miqo can assist with. For me, I mostly use it for farming and deep dungeons.

    Some tips from my end.

    1. Learn to create your own grids, some of the grids shared here make it really obvious that you’re botting. Miqo has the best grid system out there. It’s extremely easy to create your own grids. Use what’s shared by others here as a baseline.
    2. Always be alert of your surroundings, if you’re botting on a main account – never leave it unattended. Honestly not worth the risk.
    3. not going to advertise other 3rd party plugins here, however, you can find plugins that will alert you VIA custom sounds or even discord alerts whenever someone messages you. You can even create a filtered list of keywords that scans all of your chat messages (including FC chat).
    4. I see this a lot with other botters… DO NOT BOT with default gear, glamour your set to look unique, and don’t bot with your default chocobo mount. Honestly, you all stand out like a sore thumb.
    5. Move around, don’t just stay in one area… switch worlds or even data centers often.

I have not had any issues and im usually logged in 12+ hours a day. Miqo is a great tool if you’re working from home 🙂

    Hey MK.

I personally have been using Miqo for years and years. Not really since it came out but almost. I have used this in all forms of content. Savage raids for combat assist. Farming mats. You name it. I have never once had an indication that I was close to being banned. All of the tips provided above from the previous posts in this thread are really good as well. I have stayed away from large Fc’s if you plan on doing non stop botting though because people will question the activity if that makes sense. Otherwise – as long as you dont bring suspicion to yourself, SE themselves have never indicated that I was botting or have I been banned in the years I have used it.

    Hope this helps.
