The sequence below happened during crafting. Nothing is too strange until step 19. At step 19, 49 CP was available, and it was 15 quality away from 100%. There were 6 Inner Quiet stacks, so Byregot’s Blessing was available. For some reason, it chose to use Rumination, Great Strides and then Advanced Touch to get the remaining 15 quality.
Why did Miqo make this choice? It seems more efficient to use BB at that point, as Steady Hand was already active and thus it would be a 100% chance to max quality in 1 step instead of the 4 it required now. Log pasted below:
Step 1. Recommended skill: (Inner Quiet)
Step 2. Recommended skill: (Tricks of the Trade)
Step 3. Recommended skill: (Steady Hand)

She made this choice because of this:

Miqobot does not take Max Quality into consideration when solving. In fact, she performs as if the Quality bar would be infinite. We made this decision in order to reduce the algorithm complexity (this way the Solver gets about 1000 times faster).

    Crafting Solver: A Few Advices

When Quality bar is infinite, (Great Strides + Advanced Touch + Good) is better than (Inner Quiet 6 + Byregot’s Blessing).

Yes, with Crafting Solver you can notice similar side effects, but the alternative would be to have a 1000 minute solution. If you don’t want to encounter this behaviour at all, just remove Rumination from your hotbar.
And yes, we will be looking into optimizing Crafting Solver with additional tweaks in the future ๐Ÿ™‚

Thank you for your feedback very much!

I have found one other strange choice, where it uses 2x Steady Hand in a row (haven’t seen with Steady Hand II but might also happen). Observe is available on the bars, so it should not be to skip one step. Any idea why this happens?

Step 28. Recommended skill: (Great Strides)
Step 29. Recommended skill: (Steady Hand)
Step 30. Recommended skill: (Steady Hand)
Step 31. Recommended skill: (Byregot’s Blessing)

Steady Hand can be used as both a buff refresher and a filler step.
Besides, if you have only 22 CP left (with 24 reserved for Byregot’s Blessing), there is absolutely no difference whether to use Steady Hand or Observe. Because there is no other way to utilize the leftover 8 CP.

But of course, it may also be a bug ๐Ÿ™‚
We can reproduce your crafting environment and analyze the multidimensional solution map of the moments you are worried about. For that we need a detailed description of all parameters used by Miqobot.
Please check โ€˜Enable Logsโ€™ option in Crafting Solver section. This will create 2 files:
    – miqo_crafting.log
    – miqo_crafting_solver.log
Next time you notice something weird, please post information from both files. Then we will be able to analyze it and provide a more detailed response ๐Ÿ™‚

    Thank you very much!
