    Hi,

    Once the bot is up and running can I then close the game (as in is it a clientless bot) or does the game have to be open in the background e.g minimised.

    It still has to run in the background.

    The game has to run in the background. When you close the game FFXIV always logs you out automatically after about 30 seconds and there is nothing you can do about it. No bot can run FFXIV clientless.
