Computer keeps deleting miqobot

I dug around on the forums before asking, so sorry if this a repeat post.

I am having an issue where my computer thinks miqo is a virus and just deletes the .exe
I am trying to redownload it but every browser wont let me complete it regardless if i tell it to keep it or not.

anyone else have this issue or know how to resolve it?

I was able to resolve it. I had to allow it within the firewall settings

You’ll need to do so with each update to miqo, so long as your firewall/windows antivirus is active, as well so you’re aware

Was there a recent update? I thought I had been using the latest .exe
My computer just got mad at it and yeeted it off my harddrive. I saw the icon and then watched it disappear.

Yes, such cases can happen even without a new Miqobot version.
Here is another example:

Miqobot vanished right in front of my eyes

It happened because the antivirus received an update which introduced a new false positive bug.
We highly recommend to report this behavior to your antivirus vendor.

with the new windows update if you are having the system automatically delete the download you need to make an exception for all .exe files by extension, download Miqo, add it to the exceptions list and then remove the .exe exception. Pain in the ass
