Hi,
I’m trying to catch some fish with collectability, but I’m encountering the same issue on both Miqobot v1.2.4 Beta and v1.2.3.
It seems Miqobot can’t read the collectability number of a fish I just catch, and always think it has 0 collectability, and because of that she will release it, even if the collectability number is way above the one I put in her Collectability box.
The only way for her to not throw away a fish, is to put 0 in the Collectability box, she will keep then all fish, but this defeat the all purpose of that box : not getting the inventory filled with useless fish.
Is there something I’m doing wrong?
Here is her log when I put something else than 0 in the collectability box and the fish she catch didn’t have 0 collectability :
(18:10:28) Fishing starting... (18:10:28) Fishing for: 45 min (18:10:28) Max scenario fish count: 200 (18:10:35) Fishing started. (18:10:54) Yay! Fish! Total: 1 - Time: 0.32/45 (18:10:54) It's a Okay fish! :3 (18:11:02) I hold a fish with 0 collectability... (18:11:02) Whoops! It slipped through my fingers! :3 (18:11:06) 0x73F1, 50.8 ilms, 52 lvl, HQ, un //poisson-chat de Vairlame  (18:11:07) I am one with the waves..
Here is her log when I put 0 in the collectability box and the fish she catch didn’t have 0 collectability :
(18:13:03) Powerful hook! (18:13:03) Yay! Fish! Total: 5 - Time: 2.47/45 (18:13:03) It's a Okay fish! :3 (18:13:12) I hold a fish with 0 collectability... (18:13:12) Meow! 1 (18:13:14) 0xD2D1, 49.5 ilms, 52 lvl, HQ, un //poisson-chat de Vairlame 
Oh and something else not really important, but since we can see it in this example, maybe it worth mentioning it now, she seems to have some issues displaying some non-english names, maybe some Unicode problem. I can see that in her log, weird characters instead of real ones, and sometimes it can be a greater issue, when I need to filter 3D radar with a word using a non english character.
For example :
carpe à trois lèvresInstead of :

It seems that we have overlooked a couple of vital features in French client, and most likely, in other languages as well. We’ll look into this and we are going to prepare a diagnostics build for you with potential fixes.
We’ll just have to teach Miqobot how Collectability window looks like in every language, so she will be able to read it. And the second issue, about filtering words in 3D Radar, should be fixed as well.
Thank you for posting such detailed report 🙂
It really helps to identify the bug and speeds up fixing.April 15, 2016 at 5:47 pm #901We have sent you a diagnostics build by email.
Would you please try it out and let us know whether the issue with 0 collectability is still there? Also, the issue with Unicode not displaying properly should be fixed as well.
Filter by name on 3D Radar should be working with any characters.Thank you very much!
April 15, 2016 at 7:46 pm #903First, I would like to say it’s rare to see a support as fast, attentive, and efficient as yours.
I’m using your diagnostic build for more than an hour now, and everything is now working as intended, the problems are all solved.
Miqobot is now saying no to fish with a collectability number below the one I put in her collectability box. And she’s saying yes to the ones with a number above.
She is reporting the correct number every time now in her log, while she used to only report 0 as collectability :
(19:52:47) I am one with the waves.. (19:53:16) Powerful hook! (19:53:16) Yay! Fish! Total: 2 - Time: 0.8/45 (19:53:16) It's a Okay fish! :3 (19:53:27) I hold a fish with 739 collectability... (19:53:28) Meow! 1 (19:53:29) 0xD2FF, 73.9 ilms, 56 lvl, HQ, un //polyptère solaire
And as we can see in this example, you guys also fixed the Unicode character problem, accent and special characters are now displayed correctly (in the example the character not displayed well is normal, it’s the in-game special Collect one, this one and the HQ one of course can’t be displayed cause they are only available through the in-game FFXIV special font).
I tested the 3D radar, I put Carrière inside the filter field, and she correctly filtered the miner node in the game, it is now working with Unicode characters.
Thank you very much, making custom builds like this for clients, to get things fixed so accurately, and so fast, is something I never saw anywhere else.
I guess we are all really impatient to get the new features, doing Beta build for Gathering hidden items and for the Crafting Solver was a great idea, being able to use those features as early as possible was very useful, I hope we will get more Beta builds like this, I’m really looking forward to the Combat feature to start gathering tons of mats from mobs, and the Scenario feature to chain my grids, as well as the full Crafting Solver with all recipes and skills and the DPS Solver.
April 16, 2016 at 8:22 pm #912Thank you very much for testing and posting the detailed report.
We are now merging these fixes into the full release of Miqobot v1.2.4, along with many other improvements. Thanks to you, all our French, German, and Japanese users will be able to enjoy a fully featured Miqobot version.Making a Beta build proved useful indeed, and we are going to do more of them in the future. The feedback we received is extremely useful, as we managed to fix several critical issues we would never be able to find ourselves.
And thank you for your kind review!
It’s very inspiring 🙂April 26, 2016 at 2:52 pm #1131Fixes for French, German, and Japanese versions of the game have been integrated into Miqobot v1.2.4.

We couldn’t reproduce your issue in our labs, so we would ask you to provide more information.
Please answer these questions:- What Windows version do you use?
- What Display Language is in use on your system?
- What Keyboard Layout Language is in use on your system?
- What Language for non-Unicode programs is in use on your system (also known as System Locale)?
If the answer to above questions is Japanese, then please try this solution:
- Open Control Panel
- Open ‘Region and Language’ window
- Switch to ‘Administrative’ tab
- Press ‘Change system locale…’ button
- In dropdown list, select ‘English (United States)’
- Press OK
- Press Apply
- Restart your PC
After this, start the Japanese client of the game and start Miqobot.
Does Collectable fishing work now?September 4, 2016 at 12:23 pm #2070September 4, 2016 at 12:47 pm #2071September 4, 2016 at 2:21 pm #2072Thank you for your answers very much!
And thank you for verifying Region and Default Language settings.
But we still need to confirm whether System Locale is causing this issue. Here is a screenshot to help you:
