Yeah make sure every single one abilities are on your hotbars, make sure they are really the ones of the job you’re using (common mistake some people did here in the past, having a GSM ability instead of the corresponding CUL one on the CUL hotbar for example), and make sure you gave each abilities a working keybind.
Tried my first expert craft with the new update. 2535 craft, 2469 control, 550 CP. No food. No medicine. Specialist.
Result? 6486 collectability. Aka MAX.

I am wearing all professional gear, have the skysteel tools, all melded that can be so what am I doing wrong?
Professional gear is very low tier. Not to mention the monst important stat in crafting is CP, so you’re missing a great big chunk of it.
Yeah LutBot is right, I just did another batch of 100 craft for Ishgard, but this time with a Specialist job, so with better stats than previously, the Specialist Crystal giving me +20 Craftmanship/+20 Control/+15 CP.
So this put me with food at 2510/2298/622, and this time, instead of ending up with 90% of craft beyond 4500 quality, I ended up with 96% beyond 4500 quality, and instead of finishing with 70 000 points, I finished with 79 000 points, which means overall craft had better quality on average.
Zzoomers, maybe tell us your stats so we have a better understanding of your issue.

I could do it with bare minimum stats (any lower and the game doesn’t let you start the craft) so I’m thinking it might be something else? I don’t mean to ask a stupid question but, did you download and run version 1.3.34? Miqo does not auto update on its own, you need to re-download it, then run the new executable.
Fantastic update, works like a charm. So glad I held out on doing expert crafts till now. Also, would someone happen to have a scenario I could download for Blood Blouillabaisse HQ to be pop while doing the crafts. Was hoping to keep it running for a few hours rather than coming back every hour to refood, bit confused how to get the scenario working.
Pentamelded Facet crafting gear and max’d Skysteel tools. Control first, Cap CP on all items, Craftsmanship isn’t really necessary but is nice.

You don’t need pentamelds for Miqo crafting lmao. Some middle-of-the-road melds that get syou above minimum stats are enough.
Here’s a pretty cheap meld that gives good results if you throw on a Matcha or Bouillabaisse before crafting:
