The fact that stack desynth is supported is fantastic, but Miqo won’t enable it herself. The problem there is that when you desynthesise an item you only have one of, the game automatically turns stack mode off even if it was on before. The result is that once you turn on stack desynth and start Miqo breaking things down, you sometimes have to go back and turn it on again whenever she runs into a single item.

Would it be possible to have Miqo automatically turn stack desynthesis mode on when desynthesising? It’s not like she goes until you only have X of an item left and then stops, so I can’t really see a reason for her not to always do it in stacks.

    Yes, it is possible.
At the moment Miqobot is not able to identify the status of stack mode selection, so this feature requries an additional research stage which can delay other more critical upgrades. At the moment it’s classified as QoL improvement.
But if you believe it’s important enough for the community, we can increase its priority.

Miqo definitely seems able to detect when stack mode is enabled, looking at the log:

    (00:47:15) Stack desynthing: 5/5
    (00:47:17) Stack desynthing: 4/5
    (00:47:20) Stack desynthing: 3/5
    (00:47:23) Stack desynthing: 2/5
    (00:47:26) Stack desynthing: 1/5

Yes, she is able to detect Quick Desynthesis when it’s in progress.
But she is not yet able to detect the status of selection “Desynthesize entire stack.” in the pre-Desynthesis window.

Don’t bother implementing it then, I figure this is a dogwash kinda feature. It barely slows things down, doesn’t actually impact the effect, and if you tab out while Miqo’s doing it you don’t even have to notice.

I wouldn’t say don’t bother, I feel like based on the patch notes for the feature it’s intended behavior is to support stack desynth. If that is the case then as stated in other threads it’s a QoL feature. And if that’s true it should be bundled in some future update that fits it’s priority in the dev cycle.

Yes, it is already classified as QoL feature.
It will be implemented along with the rest of Quality-of-Life updates:

Is there a way to see what exactly you have listed as “QoL features” so we can know it’s already there? It seems like there is a lot on that list, but no way to know what.

There is no public list at the moment, because the number of QoL requests is quite large and keeps increasing. It has already passed the count of 200, therefore it’s rather problematic to list them all.

To name a few, QoL updates include a status bar, an automatic pause for chat, an ability to rearrange presets with drag-and-drop, presets search, UI customization, additional hotkey customization, and multiple other tweaks and adjustments. You can perform a forum search with this keyword to see all posts mentioning it.

We also include several QoL improvements in each Miqobot release, but since it will take a lot of time to implement them all, they have a dedicated development cycle on the roadmap.
